10,000 STARC, fixed. Minted once. No minter, no owner, no pause, no blocklist. Supply can only fall.
The lumen is Core reserve ÷ outstanding STARC. One line writes it, guarded by a strict “greater than”. It never goes down.
Flare buys STARC at 99 % of the lumen and burns it, up to 1 % of the Core per hour. Each flare leaves the lumen higher.
Orbit streams its half of the toll in USDC over 8-hour epochs. Enter and leave any time. Nothing is printed.
The pool price is free. The lumen measures backing; the market can sit far above it. Flare is a rate-limited exit, not a price promise.

How the star is measured

Every visual property of the star comes from the chain through one published function. It is frozen: it never rescales with price, history or screen size.

L = lumen (USDC per STARC), K = 0.02
x = L ÷ (L + K)
star radius   = 0.75 + 1.00·x
core radius   = 0.016 + 0.036·x
spike reach   = 1.00 + 0.35·x
blue halo     = 0.08 + 0.22·x
orbit lights  = 128 × (STARC in Orbit ÷ outstanding)

A flare sends one wave through the orbit and settles at the new lumen. The star never pulses at rest: a pulse would suggest backing that is not there. Scale starc-scale-v1. When the numbers are too small to see, the number is the truth.
